Ward Sergeant's Update |
||
|
Well, hasn’t it been a bit on the warm side this week, with the weather deciding to go all out and break records for the hottest June day since 1976. Even with the ridiculous heat, the team have been out on foot patrol in full uniform, covering our “hot spot” areas and feeling every bit of it.
If you’re anything like me and you’re struggling to sleep in this hot weather, you’ll probably have the bedroom window (and a few others) wide open. Just a quick reminder to be a bit mindful of anything that goes “bump in the night.” This time of year, is perfect for opportunist burglars, an open window can be all the invite they need to help themselves into your property. If you’ve got windows open, just make sure they’re not easy to get to from the outside and there’s nothing nearby that could help a burglar gain access to your property.

Here’s what your Safer Neighbourhood Team has been up to this week
So, from your slightly melted, heat‑exhausted and very tired SNT officers, we hope you have an absolutely fantastic (and hopefully slightly cooler!) fun filled weekend!
All the best and stay safe!
